Experience the vibrant, irresistible swing of Bembolado, the Los Angeles–based samba band founded by Brazilian musician and composer Fabio Santana. Directed for this event by Victor Dutras, this 10-piece ensemble brings together rich samba percussion, a tight horn section, and soulful vocals to capture the essence of Rio de Janeiro’s classic ballroom dance sound. Rooted in the tradition of samba de gafieira, Bembolado blends the elegance of partner dance with influences from jazz, funk, and MPB. Their repertoire features inspired interpretations of classics by artists such as Elis Regina, Zeca Pagodinho, Seu Jorge, and Copa 7. Known for high-energy performances, they have become a staple of the Southern California Brazilian music scene.
