tribute to Bob Marley's 1975 live-album featuring the iconic version of No Woman No Cry. The authoritative American magazine Rolling Stone ranked the song at 37 in their ranking of the 500 best songs of all time in 2004. Partly thanks to the success of No Woman No Cry, more than 1 million copies of the album were sold worldwide (100,000 of which in the Netherlands alone), unprecedented numbers for a reggae band at the time. In addition, Rootsriders will dive into their personal favorite Marley songs this tour. About Rootsriders feat. Mo Ali Rootsriders were once founded to commemorate Bob Marley's 25th death anniversary and over the years the band has grown into a permanent fixture in the Dutch live circuit. Singers Giovanca Ostiana and Shirma Rouse, as well as former The Voice runner-up Mitchell Brunings, whose blind audition of - of course - a Marley song went viral worldwide, are well-known former members. The current singer Mo Ali was found in Sudan via social media, as is the case nowadays. The band reached the final of the SBS6 program 'The Tribute, Battle of the Bands' in 2022. As a reward, the band performed in a sold-out Ziggo Dome that year, together with the 3 other finalists of the program.
