DIRTY DESMONDS (formerly Pakula Surprise) is a trio featuring Eric Pakula on alto sax, Blake Lindberg on drums, and Nick Cudahy on bass. They perform Eric Pakula’s original compositions, which blend swing and country music with the feel of 1960s television scores. Their repertoire also includes works by jazz icons Lenny Tristano, Charlie Parker, and Bud Powell. Pakula’s style is informed by major influences such as Lee Konitz, Sydney Bechet, and Paul Desmond. This performance takes place in the venue's front room in a casual, acoustic setting.
