Someone has described Avalanche Kaito as “grrriot_punk_noise”. Burkinabe singer Kaito Winse, the guardian of the ancestral griot tradition, joins drummer Benjamin Chaval and guitarist Nico Gitto for an explosive, unique combination that merges seductive trance with experimental noise. After their first Belgian concerts in 2021, the band gained international attention, performing extensively across Europe and Canada. Following their debut EP and self-titled album on Glitterbeat, they have become a festival sensation, even commissioned by the Grammys for a live video and featured in a KEXP session. Belgian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Silke Hamers teams up with Swiss sound artist JAMES (Annalena Fröhlich) to create raw, intuitive soundscapes. Their collaboration blends acoustic instruments and vocals with digital glitches and electronic distortion, pushing beyond traditional genre boundaries.
