
Queer Konpa: Haitian Konpa Day Edition
A queer, danceable zouk night.
New York City officially designated July 26th as Haitian Konpa Day. Join us at Saint James Libations, a Black queer woman-owned wine bar in the heart of Bushwick, for a celebration centered around QTBIPOC and Queer Haitians. The event features a beginner-friendly Konpa class from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM followed by social dancing, line dancing, and special performances. The music selection includes Old School and Modern Konpa, Gouyad, and Zouk. This space is exclusively for the LGBTQIAP+ community.
