A danceable, homegrown folk night.
De Mezrab welcomes you to Amsterdam's monthly folk dance celebration. The evening begins with an introductory workshop for beginners where you can learn the basic steps of European social dancing. Following the lesson, the floor opens for a live ball featuring two different bands and a vibrant musical atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the dessert potluck during the break. The night concludes with an open music session where all musicians are invited to join with their instruments. Balfolk is an inclusive, social dance form where no fixed partner or prior experience is required.
