Outstanding soloist: bassoon

Bassoonist Valeria Curti is principal bassoonist of the Swiss orchestra Musikkollegium Winterthur and teaches bassoon at the Bern Academy of the Arts. She is the first woman in Switzerland to teach bassoon at university level. In this recital, Curti gives an authentic insight into the happy and difficult phases young artists face on their way to becoming a professional musician – from the high pressure to achieve perfection to the strength that can be drawn from music.
