Corul Madrigal - Drumul Mătăsii
An underground choral night.
Piața Ștefan cel Mare, et 2, 400081 Cluj-Napoca, Romania
Festivalul Opera Aperta presents a unique musical journey with the National Chamber Choir "Madrigal - Marin Constantin" in the concert DRUMUL MĂTĂSII (The Silk Road). This performance offers a symbolic journey along the route that united East and West for centuries, reflecting ancestral connections and cultural transfers through music and poetry. The show brings together works inspired by the cultures of Asia — including Japan, China, India, Kazakhstan, and Georgia — alongside European traditions from Germany, Romania, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. The original set design by Vladimir Turturica features iconic landscapes and buildings from this historic cultural and commercial route. Recognized as a Global Ambassador of Freedom, Hope, and Peace by the UN, Corul Madrigal has performed on the world's most prestigious stages. Their refined vocal performance has been compared by international critics to a Stradivarius violin in the hands of Paganini.
