Welcome to celebrate freedom at Theater Zuidplein. On July 1st, free heri heri will be distributed to celebrate Keti Koti together. Enjoy a specially curated program featuring live music from the Kawina group The Sixties, dance performances, talks, art exhibitions, and workshops. This festive day creates space for stories from young and old, then and now, to commemorate and celebrate together. Heri heri is a traditional one-pan dish consisting of cassava, sweet potato, banana, salt fish, and egg, historically prepared on plantations and now a dish that connects people with their ancestors and history.
