An underground jazz night.
Drummer, composer, and educator Malachi Whitson brings his quartet to the JazzPOP stage at the Hammer Museum. Rooted in traditional blues, gospel, swing, and bebop, Whitson incorporates West African polyrhythms and Afro-Caribbean grooves to blend ancestral sounds with contemporary jazz.
