Open Decks
A danceable, underground house night.
Hosted by DJ and musician Steen, Open Decks is a creative and fun space where DJs can hang and share their house and techno music live. Hear your tracks on Silo's front room sound system, a custom 15,000 watt Danley powerhouse. If you want to play, talk to Steen to sign up. Sign-up is in person at the event only, slots are 12 minutes. The first 3 DJs play first-come-first-spin, then names are selected randomly throughout the night with extra weighting for those who arrive earlier. This week's co-host is Finding Your Niche, a community organization founded by ANICHE that connects people through music and movement. They are known for events like "Extra Spicy Please" and "For The People," and feature artists through community nights and radio residencies on Newtown Radio and Halfmoon Radio.
