We The People
We The People returns with our recurring program blending poetry, spoken word, music, and (performance) art. Themed ‘The Fire Next Time’, this edition of We The People is dedicated to the different stories of resistance against systemic violence. Taking inspiration from James Baldwin’s book, using its urgency and clear-eyed critique of systemic violence to frame a space where artists address the injustices still shaping our world — from inequality, state violence, to erasure — while affirming resistance, community and truth-telling.
