Alesya Dobysh & Max Frimout | Maarten Vos
In collaboration with dance platform WhyNot, we present interdisciplinary evenings that bring together musicians with choreographers, performers, or dancers. This edition opens with Alesya Dobysh and Max Frimout, two artists inspired by the dynamic interplay between movement and sound. Their creative energy is fueled by martial arts, street dance, and the vibrant energy of club culture. Expect an immersive performance in the Atrium with spatial compositions in which dance, music, and technology merge into one. Following this, cellist and composer Maarten Vos takes the stage for a solo concert in our hall. With his combination of cello and modular synthesizer, Vos explores the boundaries between acoustic and electronic sound. His compositions have been featured at international venues and festivals such as Le Guess Who?, MUTEK, Sonár, Rewire, Philharmonie de Paris, and Funkhaus Berlin. Vos regularly collaborates with other artists and musicians such as Colin Benders, Julianna Barwick, fashion designer Iris van Herpen, and Joep Beving.
