A nostalgic, gritty power pop night.
Formed in San Francisco in 1966, the Flamin' Groovies have spent nearly sixty years carving a unique path through rock history. Rejecting trends, the group fuses garage rock, power pop, punk, and classic rock into an irresistibly contagious sound. Known for cult classics like "Slow Death" and "Shake Some Action," they transitioned from raw rock roots to melodic power pop in the 70s. After a twenty-year hiatus, founder Cyril Jordan reformed the group in 2013. The current lineup, featuring Tony Sales, Atom Ellis, Sean Fitzsimmons, and Miki Rogulj, is widely considered their strongest yet. Their live performances revisit a vast repertoire spanning early rockabilly and British Invasion influences to their Sire Records golden era, cementing their status as one of rock'n'roll's most influential cult bands.
