A New York Evening With Julian Lage

The GRAMMY Museum presents an intimate evening with acclaimed guitarist Julian Lage. The event features a discussion about his latest album, Scenes From Above, and his creative process, followed by a special live performance. Lage, once a child prodigy and the subject of the documentary Jules at Eight, has become one of the most prolific guitarists of his generation with a career spanning over a dozen solo albums. His recent work, Scenes from Above, marks his first collaboration with a new quartet featuring John Medeski, Jorge Roeder, and Kenny Wollesen. This session focuses on an egalitarian ensemble approach, moving away from a traditional leader-centered format to explore compositions developed during a writing residency at SFJAZZ.
