Trapt
Trapt is a hard rock band from Los Gatos, California, that broke into the mainstream in 2003 with their hit single Headstrong. Formed by high school friends Chris Taylor Brown and Peter Charell, the group's sound is heavily influenced by iconic heavy rock acts like Korn, Metallica, and Soundgarden. After building a local following in Southern California and supporting bands like Papa Roach and Dredg, the band moved to Los Angeles to pursue music full-time. Their self-titled major label debut in 2002 became a massive success, followed by ambitious releases like Someone in Control and Reborn, the latter of which explored more eclectic textures with synthesizers and sampling.
