The Empire opent de middag met een live optreden vol pop, R&B, latin, rock en gospel. Het muziekcollectief staat bekend om hun energie en samenspel onder leiding van de bandleider. Na het openingsoptreden volgt de Stadspodium Jamsessie waarbij instrumentalisten en zangers kunnen aansluiten om samen te musiceren. Iedereen is welkom om mee te doen of te komen luisteren naar deze middag vol ontmoeting en improvisatie.
