Alex Amen & Grass
A nostalgic, underground psychedelic folk night.
An artist untethered from time or place, Alex Amen crafts music that feels eternally familiar, yet strikingly new. After taking up piano at age four and later guitar, Amen’s journey led him through a historic commune in Anaheim and the formation of the psychedelic folk-rock outfit American Slang. His full-length debut, Sun of Amen, was recorded at the legendary Valentine Recording Studios in L.A. and produced by Amen alongside engineer Jonny Bell. The work opens a space for quiet wonder, offering songs touched with both ease and beauty while maintaining a rich sonic depth with an expansive lineup of musicians. Music and the natural world remain parallel forces in his life, providing an endless source of joy and creative inspiration.
