Amadou & Mariam Live at Melkweg Amsterdam

Together with her husband Amadou, **Mariam Doumbia** has been making music together for more than forty years that is loved worldwide. In 1991, the couple released their songs on cassette for the first time, after which they were invited to perform in Paris. The album 'Dimanche a Bamako' was a great success and led to tours, awards and fame throughout Africa and Europe. In their music, the duo merged an eclectic fusion of genres with traditional and modern instruments. After Amadou's death earlier this year, Mariam released the single "L’amour à la folie", which is a loving ode to her husband. The song is the first single from their long-awaited untitled album, which will be released in the fall of 2025. On March 29, we welcome the powerful singer, with a show in our MAX. Mariam is going on tour again, still accompanied by her faithful musicians, with the melodies that made the duo so successful, with 'Je pense à toi' and 'Beaux Dimanches' at the top of the list, but also the songs from the new album that will be released this fall.
