Groove Obscura presents: Pitch Black Album Listening
An underground, nostalgic free jazz night.
Groove Obscura is an experiential platform dedicated to uncovering and contextualizing music from around the world through communal album listening. Each session explores original pressings played front to back on a high-fidelity system, preceded by historical and musical context. August's session features the Art Ensemble of Chicago's landmark ECM album "Nice Guys", with sessions held in pitch black for pure sonic immersion. Doors open at 7:30 PM, with the album playback starting at 8:30 PM. No entry after 8:45 PM. Walk-ins are welcome before 8:45 PM.
