SKÁLD
A nostalgic, underground celtic night.
Drawing inspiration from Nordic legends and the folk traditions of Scandinavia, SKÁLD creates a poetic and epic soundscape. The project, conceived by producer Christophe Voisin-Boisvinet, immerses listeners in ancient myths using drums, hypnotic voices, and traditional instruments. Their music explores the folklore of the Far North, featuring tales of elves, trolls, and dragons, performed in Old Norse and various Scandinavian languages. Since its debut in 2018, the group has gained international acclaim for its shamanic percussion and vibrant homage to ancient beliefs. Opening the night is Escape Artist Lovers, a duo formed by Rain Phoenix and Kirk Hellie. Blending honest rock with bittersweet melodies, they draw on a wide range of UK and American counterculture influences. Their collaboration, born out of the experimental spirit of 2020, creates soulful, artistic compositions that continue the legacy of alternative songcraft.
