All Star Jam Session Benefit
An underground smooth jazz night.
A benefit jam session hosted by CC Thomas, the musical director for Diana Ross. This regular event features an unpredictable lineup of top-tier talent and serves as a fundraiser for the Raffia Music School for children. Attendees can enjoy incredible live performances or sign up to jam alongside world-class professional musicians. The house band and frequent contributors include an array of industry veterans. CC Thomas Jr is an Emmy-nominated songwriter and bassist who has performed with Babyface and Jeffrey Osborne. Donnell Spencer Jr is an award-winning composer and drummer known for his work with Anita Baker and Chaka Khan. Sir Harry Bowens, a founding member of Was (Not Was), provides soul vocals, while pianist and musical director Herman Jackson brings experience from tours with Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin. Guitarist Jay Gore, a prolific session player, has shared the stage with artists ranging from Lauryn Hill to Michael McDonald.
