Identity Pioneers
At WORM, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen explores the freedoms and limitations of digital identity. In the digital world, identity is fluid; online communities offer the ultimate freedom to rediscover and reinvent yourself. At the same time, challenges remain, such as the digital queer gap, online discrimination, and conservative algorithms that continue to reinforce traditional gender constructs. The evening’s programme includes artist talks and a music programme by Sunflower Radio, art installations, a performance titled A Queer Obj, and tarot card readings. This event is part of the Pixel Pioneers exhibition, which showcases artists using digital technology to provoke and reshape our visual culture.
