Viola player Elin Haver and pianist Jana Schell perform chamber music on the rooftop garden of The William in Amsterdam as part of the Grachtenfestival. This unique concert features a grand piano hoisted onto the roof, highlighting the viola in a rare solo spotlight. The program includes Hindemith's 1919 viola sonata, Henriëtte Bosmans' 'Nuit Calme', and the fiery scherzo from the FAE Sonata by Brahms, Schumann, and Dietrich. Both musicians perform on instruments from the Netherlands Musical Instruments Fund and introduce the works themselves.
