Before I share my review of the movie, I want to remind those who may not know yet...⚠️ Luc Besson, accused by 9 women of sexual assault and rape. A director who married a 15yo minor when he was 32, she became pregnant one year later. A director who wrote sexually suggestive scenes involving a 12yo child (with the character played by Natalie Portman in "Léon: The Professional", who was also 12 at the time of filming). Fortunately, we will never see these scenes thanks to the actress parents, who strongly refused them. After the release of the movie, which sexualizes her character, Natalie Portman received sexual and threatening letters from adult men throughout her adolescence. These are facts. Today we have the power to show concrete support for victims of gender based and sexual violence by deciding not to watch this movie in theaters, not to enrich its director. Also think about informing your friends who might be planning to see this movie in theaters. Not everyone is aware of the director's actions.Review: What a MOVIE! Luc Besson does not seem bothered about plagiarizing other movies (such as Nosferatu and probably other movies I havent seen yet). And if it were only the script he plagiarized, but no, the poster is also a plagiarism of a Nosferatu poster (proof here), his only original addition is gargoyles with UGLY CGI... This movie also makes us wonder, how women can still be treated like this today?? All of the female characters only exist to be the sexual object of men...Small note: originally my review was written in French, but I thought it was important for people who don't speak French to also learn about the facts regarding Besson, especially since at the moment I updated my review the movie is about to be released in theaters in the US... And if you support Besson, feel free to skip my review.
