this was a truly moving experience, and it leaves me reflecting on all of the emotions it stirred up. the acting is phenomenal, the cinematography is gorgeous, and it carries a sense of nostalgia that takes me back to being out in the woods with my dad as a kid. the way poetry is woven into the story gives it a unique rhythm and depth, and while it can be a little confusing at times, it invites you to look beneath the surface. i’m still trying to untangle my feelings, but i do know that it’s deeply affecting. i saw someone say it’s like a live action hayao miyazaki film, and i think that’s a beautiful comparison. it’s not flawless, but it captures a kind of magic that’s hard to forget.PT Film Festival 2025 Film #5
