A polished electroacoustic artist.
Violinist Alexi Kenney is forging a career that defies categorization, following his interests, intuition, and heart. He is equally at home creating experimental programs like Shifting Ground, commissioning new works, soloing with orchestras including the Cleveland Orchestra, Dallas Symphony, Houston Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, and l’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, and collaborating with some of the most celebrated musicians and artists of our time. He is a member of the visionary inverted quartet Owls, hailed as a “dream group” by the New York Times. Owls’ debut album, Rare Birds, was released in Spring 2025. Born in Palo Alto, California, Alexi studied at the New England Conservatory. Outside of music, Alexi enjoys hojicha, design, baking for friends, and walking for miles on end in whichever city he finds himself, listening to podcasts and Bach on repeat. www.alexikenney.com
