Formed in London by a collective of expatriates from Salento, Amaraterra brings the vibrant and hypnotic rhythms of traditional southern Italian pizzica to international stages. The ensemble blends acoustic instrumentation like tambourines, guitars, and accordions into high-energy, trance-inducing performances. Maintaining deep ties to their cultural canon, they create a lively bridge between Italian roots music and the contemporary world music scene.
