Dorica is a once-in-a-generation Tanzanian-American artist whose work translates sensuality, spirituality, and emotional truth into cinematic experiences designed for connection over time. Her journey began in the booth at age 6 in her father’s studio, recording herself by 12. Raised with Tanzanian heritage, Black American culture, and global influences from Columbus to New York to Zanzibar and Mexico, her voice is grounded and genre-free, shaped by pop radio summers, soul work, and self-awareness.
