LA-born, Portland-based folk artist Eddie Berman returns with Broken English, his new album of campfire-worthy, cosmic folk-rock that explores themes about the precarious state of a world sinking deeper into isolation, and its tumultuous effects on our relationship to work, family, technology, and spirituality (presciently written before the Covid pandemic). Eddie recorded the album remotely with his bandmates - multi-instrumentalist Gabe Feenberg and drummer Max MacVeety - before being sent to longtime collaborator Pierre De Reeder, who mixed and shaped them into a powerful, moving, and at times haunting journey through these trying times. Eddie made his debut with the Blood & Rust EP, featuring “Dancing in the Dark,” a duet with British folk icon Laura Marling. With the release of several albums, Polyhymnia, Before The Bridge, and Frontiers, Eddie has reached new milestones, generating tens of millions of streams and international tours with Laura Marling, Tyler Childers, Passenger, and Lee Ann Womack.
Eddie Berman plays a style of folk and cosmic folk-rock, often exploring themes of isolation and societal impact, as heard on his album "Broken English".
