An underground indie rock artist.
LA-based songwriter Garet Camella crafts a brand of indie rock that flows between narrative folk, driving rhythmic dynamics, and lushly layered pop. His through-line is intimate storytelling that explores themes of introspection, place, and longing. After moving to Los Angeles from Columbus, Ohio in 2025, Camella spent his first year in LA crafting his EP “Just Passing Through” with SoCal native Neil Wogensen (Valley Queen). Released in May of 2026 alongside a lively Rocknite showcase, “Just Passing Through” features bandmates from Camella's former indie rock quintet Indigo Wild and centers around songs he started writing while living in New York City in the early 2010s, but never finished. Old ideas reimagined and fully realized in the present. Standout single “Balance” pairs jangly, punchy Telecaster hooks with emotive lyricism while “Gnats”, which features hometown friend Caeleigh Featherstone (Saintseneca, Mukiss) leans more introspective and moody. Most of Camella's songs take on a sort of constant-yet-unhurried motion, like a mile-long train steadily passing through a midwestern landscape at night. Booking/inquiries: [email protected]
