There must be something about sitting in traffic on your way to a strip mall that allows for such inspiration to catch and be captured, written and recorded for posterity. Golden Dimes is the collaboration of five suburban dads, all lifetime musicians, brought together by fate and a mutual love of great food and drink, good humor, and positive vibes. The band recently wrapped production on their third EP, entitled HELICOPTER. Offering a modern take on classic Yacht Rock, the Dimes purvey smooth, mellow rock featuring lush production, vibey grooves, and sophisticated melodies. The band returned to Restoration Sound in Brooklyn NY for this set, produced by Jason Spiewak (Ian Flanigan, Ernie Halter, Pat McGee) and Lorenzo Wolff (Taylor Swift, Steve Earle, Randy Newman). The music was mixed by Grammy-winner Craig Alvin (Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, Will Hoge) at Noble Steed Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Golden Dimes offer music carrying messages of unity, self-awareness, and responsibility thoughtfully viewed through the lens of people who are old enough not to be young, but young enough not to feel old.
