Greg Paulus has been performing as a trumpet player, vocalist, keyboard player and DJ for 14 years and throughout that time he has toured internationally in Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa and Russia. He has toured as a band member with artists such as Beirut and Matthew Dear in addition to 12 years of touring with Nick DeBruyn as the group No Regular Play. Throughout this period he has appeared on over 100 records, on vinyl and all digital platforms, as a leader, guest soloist and remixer on labels such as Ghostly International, Kompakt, Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb. Growing up as a jazz trumpet player Greg attended the Stanford Jazz Residency and went on to receive a bachelors of music from the Manhattan School of Music. In 2011 he performed “TimePiece” with the Minnesota Orchestra, (a concerto fusing orchestral with Jazz soloists and electronics) that he co-wrote with his father, Stephen Paulus. No Regular Play was honored by The Young Patrons of Lincoln Center for their Unique contribution to the Arts in 2014. Paulus continues to tour and release music under No Regular Play and his own name Greg Paulus and has an upcoming solo release on renowned British label Freerange in January 2021.
Greg Paulus primarily creates deep house and lo-fi house music, often incorporating his distinctive trumpet playing. He has released on labels such as Freerange Records.
