Khanyakude Dhliwayo (aka Kah’Nya) is an 19 year old singer songwriter born and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She began singing and playing guitar at the young age of 10.Her passion for music only grew stronger as she got older, and she eventually got into song writing, derived from her love for creative writing and art. She was performing at school events and regularly sang at acoustic nights held at The Oasis, hosted by fellow Zimbabwean musician, Tariro negitare. In May of 2021, Khanya released her debut single, 'waste your time'. a song about attaining heartbreak after receiving the bare minimum from the likes of another. A year later, May 2022, she released her debut Album 'Ulterior' at just age 15. She describes this project as a body of work, as it compiles different pieces written at different times in her life. This album highlights her complex and implicit song writing. Her music success and credibility grew even greater when moving to the United Kingdom at the start of 2023 Outside of accumulating over 50,000 streams, Kah'Nya continues to push the boundaries by inducing her heritage and emotional writing in her art.
Kah'Nya plays a genre-blending style of soft-pop and R&B infused with acoustic guitar arrangements and subtle Afrobeats influences.
Kah'Nya was born and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and later relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue her music career.
