Mariann Marczi is a hungarian concert-pianist. Winner of International Moscow Music Competition, 2nd prize winner of International Mozart Competition Vienna and 2nd prize at International Clara Schumann Competition. She is professor of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest. Mariann Marczi has made recordings for the Odradek Records label. Her first album SPLINTERS; featuring 20th Century Hungarian Works for Piano in 2013, which was nominated for the BBC Music Magazine Award. Her second album, PAST VISIONS paying homage to Schubert and Schumann was released in 2019. Both albums were praised by the international music press with firve-star rewiews appearing the columns of BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone, Ritmo, Musik-Texte, Piano News etc. Her Schumann recording won Silver Prize at American Classical Music Awards in New York. Performing Liszt's song- and opera-transcriptions she won Special Prize at European Virtuoso Award. Mariann Marczi has made recordings for the Hunnia Records label as well. Her third album ENCHANTING SCENTS; from 2026, is devoted to works by Sibelius, Spohr, Rachmaninov, Schubert, Kosma, Delibes, Tschaikowsky and Johann Strauss II. Her fourth release, the single CONDENSED GESTURES, pays tribute to György Kurtág. Her fifth release entitled THE FACE OF THE NORTH;. It brings together Grieg's Lyric Pieces.
