Fusing soulful jazz with a singer-songwriter sensibility, Sarah L King is a clear-toned vocalist with a groove-led sound in her own compositions, mixing elements of neo soul, funk and jazz. No stranger also to a swingin’ jazz standard, King is adept at conveying feel and emotion through her impeccable phrasing and rhythm, and is a natural storyteller. Her acclaimed original albums Fire Horse (2024) and The Light Ahead (2026) were both produced by Claire Martin OBE for ECN Music, and feature regularly on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio London and Jazz FM. The albums feature a stellar line-up of UK jazz musicians, who continue to play and tour with King in the UK.
