Still Going, the NYC duo of Liv Spencer and Eric “Dunks” Duncan, arrived on the scene with “Still Going Theme” (DFA Records), a seductive layering of deep, creeping bass, swelling synths, and tinkling pianos atop a disco pulse. Along with its hypnotic flipside, “On and On,” the 12” captivated listeners with its anthemic energy and quickly became a dance floor staple. Their second DFA release, “Spaghetti Circus,” dropped listeners right into the middle of the action with its peak-time dancefloor momentum. The record's B-side, “Untitled Love” featuring Reggie Watts on vocals, became a Balearic classic in its own right, cementing a reputation for creating timeless dance music.
