Born in Brooklyn’s DIY scene, Talon is an alt-rock band that has carved a fresh path with songs that swing from sugary hooks to full-throttle noise. Their music captures the contradictions of queer life in post-pandemic Brooklyn: messy and joyful, chaotic and tender, vulnerable and just a little bit bratty. Made up of four best friends, Talon’s show is equal parts live riot and inside joke, like watching a ‘90s sitcom where the punchlines are screamed through fuzz pedals—and the audience is always invited along for the ride. Their latest single, “Britney Spears,” explores the challenge of finding your path as you age & striking out over and over again in the process. Next single off a forthcoming EP comes out late September.
