**Tom Reaves Jr** is a jazz guitarist from Petersburg , Virginia, whose music seamlessly blends smooth jazz with the soulful depth of his personal journey. Raised in a musical household where gospel quartet music was ever-present, Tom's father, Tom Reaves Sr, inspired his love for the guitar. His connection to music has always been about more than just notes; it's a spiritual experience that drives his creativity. Tom’s path wasn’t just shaped by music. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, flying in support of the President instilled in him the discipline and focus that now fuel his artistry. Tom has shared the stage with artists like Angela Bofill, Norman Brown, Jonathan Butler, and Musiq Soulchild. He’s also performed with Jasmine Guy, and artists like Four80East and Jeff Kashiwa, Tom’s performances are a reflection of his life experiences and his deep-rooted sense of purpose. When Tom is not performing or recording playing guitar; he often has a camera in his hands off somewhere shooting nature photography.
