Yelling Orangutans

Yelling Orangutans is a band based in Prague´s Vinohrady district. It´s sound is influenced by American and British rock scene. First chords were played together in the late 90s by Honza Mahdal (guitar, vocals) and Jarda Hruška (guitar, vocals). After finishing primary school, their paths diverged, only to meet again by chance in 2018. At that time, there were few occasional sessions made and that’s when the foundations of the band’s current repertoire and sound were laid. In 2020, a very experienced musician and bassist Adam Lešikar joined the band. Then the hunt began for a drummer to add drive to the current guitar riffs. In spring of 2021, the last missing piece of the puzzle was found in the name of Patrik Jonáš and in the autumn of the same year the first three concerts were played. In the spring of 2022 the band announced their first EP single „Kick Off“ and started performing regularly in Prague clubs and music festivals.
