A slow-burn, underground indie folk night.
Great Lake Swimmers return with their ninth album, Caught Light, a nimble collection inspired by early 70s folk-pop and the warmth of Ontario's landscape. Founder Tony Dekker collaborated with producer Darcy Yates and engineer Jimmy Bowskill to create an album that captures a sense of immediacy and community. Written after Dekker's return to the Niagara region, the record features standout singles like the summer-driving anthem One More Dance Around the Sun and the country-shuffle Wrong, Wrong, Wrong. More than 20 years into their career, the band continues to explore the infinite details of their native coastlines with newly found zeal.
