Red Events presents a concert at the historic Posthoornkerk in Amsterdam featuring Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. The masterpiece is performed by Belgian ensemble La Chapelle Sauvage under conductor Karel De Wilde, with soloists soprano Abigail Barker and countertenor Gleb Zakharov. Written during the final weeks of Pergolesi's life, Stabat Mater is widely regarded as one of the most moving Baroque compositions. This performance offers the work in authentic lower, warmer historical tuning, alongside additional Baroque selections.
