Ensemble Bayat: Zwischen Ost und West

Ensemble Bayat represents the unifying power of music, blending diverse cultural influences into a harmonious whole. Their artistic vision is based on the belief that music transcends cultural boundaries to celebrate both diversity and human connection. The group takes its audience on a journey through various musical styles and traditions. The ensemble features opera singer Mima Millo, who has performed major roles across Europe and Israel; cellist Tom Kellner, who specializes in contemporary performance and improvisation; and pianist Raneen Wahby, a composer and musicologist focused on the interaction between Western classical and Middle Eastern musical traditions.
