A nostalgic, raw classical night.
Explore the roots of Fokker's 31-tone organ in this concert centered around Constantijn Huygens' Pathodia sacra et profana. His son, Christiaan, is credited with inventing the 31-tone tuning system. Organist Laurens de Man, recipient of the 2024 Dutch Music Prize, joins baritone Ben Kazez and violinist Eva Saladin to perform works by Huygens and his contemporaries as they were originally intended, juxtaposed with modern compositions. The program features selections from Frescobaldi, Froberger, and Hans Kox.
