A slow-burn, underground ambient jazz night.
Guitarist and composer Jeff Parker brings his improvising ensemble, ETA IVtet, to the Lodge Room for a special performance in the round. The group, featuring Jay Bellerose, Anna Butterss, and Josh Johnson, originally formed during a long-running residency at the Los Angeles venue ETA. Over years of weekly performances, they developed a unique musical language focused on long-form, groove-oriented minimalist improvisation. This show celebrates the release of their latest album, 'Happy Today', which captures the group's signature syntax as it expands into larger spaces while maintaining its hypnotic effect on listeners.
