A nostalgic, homegrown traditional folk night.
Stas Shärifulla and Ziliä Qansurá present a listening session of traditional Bashqort songs dedicated to birds. The Bashqorts are a Turkic Indigenous people of North Asia whose musical culture deeply incorporates avian themes. Qosh yulı, or 'the Path of Birds,' refers to the Milky Way, which tradition says was formed by crane feathers left to guide younger or weaker birds home. These songs serve a similar ancestral purpose, acting as a spiritual guide for younger generations. The session will be recorded for later streaming via Refuge Radio.
