Directed by Leonard Evers, the performance tells the story of Christmas through the eyes of an elderly Maria reflecting on her past. The musical program focuses on Old Dutch Christmas music from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period, including arrangements by Ton Koopman of traditional songs like "Nu syt wellecome" and "Wij komen van Oosten."
