Since 2021, the Cologne-based trio “The Big Why” has been creating a whole new world of sound with colorful harmonies, wandering melodies, and complex rhythms that invite listeners to immerse themselves. In their new debut album, pianist Nicholas von der Nahmer, bassist Emil Buchholtz, and drummer Joshua Knauber combine various styles in their compositions, ranging from modern to Nordic jazz and film music.
