Isabelle van Keulen Ensemble — Tango Nuevo meets Bach
Violinist Isabelle van Keulen has been following her love for Argentine tango for years. With her own ensemble, she connects the world of Astor Piazzolla with that of Johann Sebastian Bach. Tango nuevo and Baroque prove to be surprisingly compatible: rhythm and melancholy meet structure and clarity. Featuring bandoneon, piano, double bass, and violin, a sound world of contrasts is created where passion and precision reinforce each other. The program bridges the gap from Buenos Aires to Dresden without losing any intensity.
