Pianist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Mauricio Fleury presents his trio at Clärchens Ballhaus for an evening of groove, psychedelia, and Brazilian jazz. A founding member of the São Paulo Afrobeat/disco ensemble Bixiga 70, Fleury has collaborated with artists like Gal Costa, João Donato, and Liniker. His debut album Revoada fuses psychedelic jazz reminiscent of Azymuth and Deodato with Turkish psychedelia and Ethiopian jazz. His live performances feature selections from the record alongside improvisation and Brazilian standards.
